Club rules 2009-10
season
Membership and Objectives
To promote good fellowship among all anglers. To hold friendly
competitions and matches, assist and encourage young members and the
disabled. To do all in its power to maintain and develop fisheries in
the area in a safe and fitting manner. The club committee shall have the
power to refuse membership, to expel any member contravening the rules
or found guilty of misconduct and to settle all disputes raised by the
members.

Fish movement No fish to be
removed from club waters. All fish to be returned where caught. No
member shall transfer any fish from any club water to another, except by
the Committee’s written approval and authorisation of a principal
official. Litter: cans,
bottles, bags and discarded fishing line It shall be the
duty of all the club members to insure that all club fisheries are kept clear of litt Bait Bans No club member
shall be permitted to use or bring to any club waters any LIVE fresh
water fish, for the use of pike fishing or any other purpose.
Pike
Anglers
We
do not permit the use of live bait so
please use dead baits when fishing our waters and do not take pike from
our waters for any reason, all fish must be
returned alive. Use only 2 rods and respect other anglers by not fishing
too close to those who are fishing for roach; insure you have the proper
equipment to handle pike carefully a pair of forceps for hook removal
and a good size landing net and a mat for laying the fish on. IF in
doubt ask the club coaches or club bailiffs for advice. Tackle
Restrictions Only two rods allowed on all waters. Members must have
in there possession whilst fishing on club waters; a landing net of
suitable size for the quarry. If pike or carp are retained for any
reason this should be for the minimum length of time possible in a
suitable keep –sack or pike tunnel. Tackle left unattended at a swim for
the purpose of reserving it may be confiscated, and this procedure will
apply in behaviour considered as inappropriate to normal club practise.
No rods to be
unattended with tackle in the water and no baits on spare hooks or
tackle assembled for use. |

Look out for cows! That's right look out for them when parking your cars on our waters they will damage your car and beware of bulls many of our waters are near fields with cattle in them so take extra care when fishing them and be mindful of the farmers cattle.
Fishing Matches Parent/Guardians of Junior Match entrants shall complete a form provided by the club at the start of an event.
Trophies shall be fished for
according to the donor’s wishes.
Matches fished from the 15th March until the 15th June inclusive will not qualify for any of the clubs annual, fresh water trophies.
Children and supervision The club has AGM endorsed policies, a full copy of which is obtainable from the secretary, buy a written submission and SAE, additional points are as follows:
No child under the age of eleven years of age shall be a voting/paying member or permitted to be present at the waterside after dusk and before dawn. Children of eleven to sixteen years of age shall be permitted to accompany an adult night fishing, providing their name has been endorsed in writing by the club secretary and appears on the full member’s own card. Any such full member shall be wholly responsible for the close supervision and maintenance of the rules by the young person and absolve the club from any resulting legal claims.
No child under eleven shall be more then the next peg’s distance from the full member responsible for them at any time for any reason!
We are duty bound to consider the chances of social evils and endeavour to ensure against their occurrence. All members are encouraged to learn to swim.
Parent/Guardians of Junior Match entrants shall complete a form provided by the club at the start of an event.
Closed season No member shall fish club waters during closed season as laid down by the EA by laws excepting Lay by pit and the common pond which can be fished during the close season.

Club Committee and Annual General Meetings
Committee: The control of the club shall be invested in a committee of nine and ex-officio members. Six to form a Quorum. The committee shall have the power to appoint sub-committees consisting of elected members and other co- opted members who have particular expertise or interests in the duties to be undertaken.
Election of officers and committee: The secretary/treasurer shall be elected for a period of three years. The meeting shall also elect annually a chairman and vice chairman. In the event of a vacancy occurring on the committee during the year the committee shall have the power to fill the vacancy and such appointment must be confirmed at the next annual general meeting.
Meetings The annual general meeting shall be held in April each year. A special general meeting may be held by the committee or by a requisition signed by not less then ten members. One months notice of a motion to alter the rules must be given to the secretary.
Committee meetings Shall be held on days and times agreed by members. Items for the AGM agenda must be in writing to the secretary by the 1st of March each year.
Subscriptions The subscriptions shall be fixed annually.
AGM attendance Persons other then club members seeking to be present at the AGM, or other club meetings shall in the first instance, apply to the secretary in writing. Such applications to observe (without comment, contribution or vote), shall then be presented and approved or otherwise, by those members present at the meeting prior to its commencement.
